Stone Relief

Executed on a single stone block, this angel figure retains his right wing and left hand but the right foot is missing, as different from that on inv. nr. 883. The right wing is open, flying forward, and the left hand seems to be holding an object. The left wing, headgear, face and clothes are the same as the other figure except for minor details. The braided hair falling on the right wing curls around the arm. Executed in high relief, particularly the sleeve extending down to the left wrist is rendered almost in three-dimensional effect. The right leg of the angel indicates that a piece from the bottom is missing.
